Software Engineer – Java & AI Features

About the role

As a Software Engineer you will continuously develop and enhance Goldright's core product, integrating AI capabilities directly into the solution. You will work in a close‑knit Graz‑based team, collaborating with consultants, operations and IT to deliver high‑quality software.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high‑quality Java Core and Spring applications, using relational databases and occasionally front‑end technologies.
• Collaborate with a versatile team, focusing on both back‑end and front‑end topics as needed.
• Work with consultants to design clean, flexible APIs that can be customized for customer needs.
• Participate in a developer‑driven agile workflow with 3‑week sprints, frequent dailies and self‑selected tasks.
• Contribute to sprint planning and joint sprint reviews with the whole team.
• Ensure product quality through smart testing practices and peer code reviews.
• Drive innovation by using AI tools to accelerate development and building advanced AI features.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software development experience with Java.
• Completed technical studies or equivalent practical training.
• Solid understanding of software development principles, SQL database modeling and relational databases.
• Strong grasp of server‑side web application fundamentals and willingness to work on front‑end topics.
• High personal standards for product quality, performance and security.
• Good English communication skills (minimum B2).
• Proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to propose ideas and find creative solutions.
