Senior/Principal Software Security Architect

About the role

Join NXP’s Competence Center Crypto & Security to shape the security of millions of connected devices, from ePassports to automotive systems. You will work with a global team of security architects, cryptographers, and embedded experts to design and protect secure, certifiable products.

Key responsibilities

• Define, review, and improve security architectures for embedded software, firmware, operating systems, and secure platforms.
• Perform threat modeling, risk assessments, and attack‑surface analysis.
• Investigate vulnerabilities, identify root causes, and define countermeasures.
• Support security‑by‑design throughout the product lifecycle and collaborate with customers, development teams, certification bodies, and labs.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong embedded software development experience in C/C++.
• Solid background in embedded security and secure system design.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
