Senior Solutions Engineer - Warehouse Robotics

About the role

Exotec designs plug-and-play, reliable warehouse robotics solutions and acts as OEM and integrator for many brands. Its Solutions Engineering team turns complex logistics challenges into automation solutions, and as a Senior Solutions Engineer you will own qualified customer opportunities and work closely with Sales to design technical and commercial solutions. The role covers the full path from concept and layout through interfaces, implementation and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze customer logistics data, warehouse processes, material flows, performance requirements and constraints, then design tailored solution concepts and layouts.
• Balance technical feasibility with commercial considerations and define performance requirements.
• Take ownership of qualified opportunities and build technical and commercial proposals with Sales Executives.
• Clarify requirements and scope, including technical specifications, pricing inputs, timelines, implementation constraints, costs and margins.
• Present solutions to customers and partners, adapting to technical and business stakeholders.
• Design interfaces between Exotec software, customer software and warehouse systems, incorporating IT security requirements.
• Integrate with WMS, WCS and WES environments and support integrators with technical guidance.
• Contribute to project handover, deployment and ongoing maintenance, and share customer and market insights with HQ.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in warehouse logistics, ideally in solutions engineering, warehouse automation or intralogistics.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, material flows and warehouse systems.
• Experience designing technical solutions from complex customer requirements, including layouts and performance considerations.
• Previous B2B sales-engineering experience in intralogistics is a strong plus.
• Professional fluency in English; German is a strong advantage for customer negotiations.
• Willingness to travel and to manage several opportunities and projects at once.

Required skills

• Experience with WMS, WCS, WES or comparable logistics software and defining system interfaces.
• Solid understanding of IT security in integrated technical solutions.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or other layout-design tools and process-mapping software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and customer-facing presentation skills.
