Senior SOC Analyst, Security Operations

As a Senior SOC Analyst, you'll play a critical role in staying ahead of evolving threats by building the capabilities that detect attacks, respond to incidents and continuously strengthen our security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Own detection engineering strategy and quality in Elastic Security, designing high‑fidelity detections, improving coverage, reducing noise and raising SOC maturity.
• Lead incident response and threat hunting, investigating complex incidents, proactively hunting across AWS, Elastic and Datadog, refining playbooks and turning incidents into lasting improvements.
• Design and implement automated investigation, enrichment and response workflows using SOAR, APIs and custom tooling to increase speed and consistency.
• Strengthen cloud security monitoring, system hardening and security tooling across AWS, partner with engineering to eliminate risk and support compliance initiatives (ISO 27001, PCI DSS, DORA).
• Act as a technical leader, mentor engineers, influence architectural decisions, champion best practices and foster a security‑first culture.
• Participate in a weekly rotating on‑call schedule to keep millions of users safe around the clock.

Required profile

• 4+ years of hands‑on security engineering experience with incident response, threat hunting, SIEM, digital forensics and scripting.
• Proven experience building and evolving security operations, designing detections, automating workflows and delivering measurable outcomes.
• Strong expertise securing cloud‑native environments, especially AWS, including system hardening, network security, IAM and security monitoring; Elastic Security, ES|QL and KQL are highly desirable.
• Ability to own complex technical challenges, balance pragmatism with security excellence and lead initiatives from idea through implementation.
• Excellent collaborator and communicator who enjoys mentoring, influencing technical direction and partnering across engineering.
