Microsoft 365 Modern Workplace Architect

About the role

Avanade, a joint venture between Microsoft and Accenture and the largest consulting firm for Microsoft technologies, is looking for a Microsoft 365 Modern Workplace Architect in Vienna. The role combines high-level architecture and project management with active support of presales and sales, and mostly on-site customer interface work.

Key responsibilities

• Develop project goals with customers so that life-cycle processes can be built on them.
• Create innovative solutions and high-level architecture blueprints.
• Plan, budget and manage projects confidently using agile principles.
• Share knowledge of customer requirements with account, service and sales departments.
• Support presales and sales, for example by helping to create offers.
• Act as responsible owner of customer interfaces, acting as sub-project manager mostly on site.

Required profile

• Experience with workplace transformation and deployment projects and client architectures.
• Knowledge of M365 in cloud and hybrid scenarios.
• Fluent German and English (minimum B2/C1).
• Willingness to travel (in consultation with you).
• Very good communication and presentation skills, enjoyment of new challenges and technologies, and ability to work in a diverse team.

Required skills

• Ideally additional expertise in Teams, SharePoint or Exchange.
• Knowledge of SCCM, desktop management tools, desktop encryption, security products and packaging tools.
• Experience creating and editing RFP/RFI/RFT documents.
