Head of Identity Security

About the role

Make a difference in the financial life of millions by shaping the next generation of Cyber & Information Security at Erste Digital. As Head of Identity Security you will lead the development of trusted, reusable identity and access capabilities across the Group, ensuring secure authentication and authorization for people, applications and machines.

Key responsibilities

• Build and evolve a coherent, reusable identity platform and service ecosystem, moving from fragmented IAM solutions to a service‑oriented architecture.
• Define direction for identity lifecycle, entitlement, role management, access governance, authentication, authorization, federation and identity data.
• Create standardized APIs, connectors and self‑service patterns for application and platform teams.
• Establish scalable role and entitlement models that reduce application‑specific access logic and enable consistent policy enforcement.
• Improve automation, data quality and transparency across identity lifecycle and access‑certification processes.
• Prepare the capability for non‑human identities, workloads, automation and AI‑enabled services.

Required profile

• Leadership experience in identity, security, enterprise platforms or a similarly complex technology domain.
• Strong understanding of identity lifecycle, access governance, role and entitlement models, authentication, authorization and federation concepts.
• Ability to think in platforms and services, simplifying complex dependencies and establishing clear ownership.
• Comfort working across highly interconnected domains and navigating ambiguity to build alignment.
