Group Category Manager Chemicals

About the role

As the Group Category Manager Chemicals you will lead strategic and tactical procurement for the Chemicals category across the AGRANA Group, shaping the category strategy and driving optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and continuously enhance the Chemicals category strategy, including market analyses, KPIs and optimisation potential.
• Implement strategic initiatives in close collaboration with internal business functions and manage the full supplier lifecycle.
• Execute tactical procurement activities such as demand planning, tendering, price and contract negotiations, and maintain framework agreements.
• Support group‑wide projects, prepare performance reports and provide decision‑making analyses for management.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in strategic and tactical procurement.
• Business‑fluent German and English, with strong negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20% of working time.

Required skills

• Proficient in MS Office.
• Experience with SAP; SRM system experience is an advantage.
