Digital Manufacturing Associate – Part‑time (27 hrs/week)

About the role

Join PALFINGER’s Digital Manufacturing team as a part‑time associate, supporting the creation and rollout of digital solutions across a global production network. You will work on low‑code application development, requirements engineering, and the evaluation of emerging technologies such as AI‑based tools for manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, structure and document requirements for digital manufacturing solutions together with business stakeholders.
• Develop low‑code applications within an agile SCRUM framework, including design of application and data structures.
• Support testing, deployment and ongoing enhancement of digital applications.
• Estimate effort, plan new features and coordinate with IT and system experts.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies, especially AI‑based use cases for digital production.
• Assist implementation projects and assess business value and cost efficiency of digital solutions.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a comparable field.
• Initial experience in software development or low‑code platforms and a strong interest in digital technologies.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes or digital production environments.
• Analytical, structured and self‑organized working style with strong teamwork skills.
• Very good written and spoken English.
