Cybercrime Intern – Intergovernmental Services

About the role

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is seeking a motivated intern to support its Cybercrime and Technology Section. The role focuses on normative work, knowledge development, and logistical support for the Cybercrime Convention and Intergovernmental Service Team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide substantive, organisational, and logistical assistance to the daily activities of the Cybercrime and Technology Section.
• Support the preparation of documents, briefing notes, and reports related to the UN Convention against Cybercrime.
• Assist in the coordination of meetings, workshops, and intergovernmental sessions.
• Contribute to research and knowledge‑development tasks on cybercrime prevention, investigation, and prosecution.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recently completed a bachelor’s, master’s or Ph.D. programme in criminology, law, political/social sciences, international relations or a related field.
• Strong analytical and drafting abilities.
• Demonstrated interest in United Nations work and commitment to its Charter.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
