Counter Terrorism Intern

About the role

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is seeking a Counter Terrorism Intern to support the Terrorism Prevention Branch in Vienna. This unpaid, full‑time internship offers hands‑on experience in legal and criminal‑justice aspects of counter‑terrorism.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research on criminal‑justice aspects of terrorism prevention and specific thematic areas.
• Prepare background documents, presentations, briefing notes, summaries, talking points and speeches.
• Assist in organizing national and regional technical‑assistance workshops, meetings, high‑level events and conferences.
• Attend meetings, take notes and provide administrative support to the team.
• Perform other tasks as required.
