Cloud Platform Engineer

About the role

You will design, build and continuously improve a highly scalable cloud platform on Google Cloud. Working in a hybrid setting from Graz, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure the platform is stable, secure and performant.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and maintain scalable GCP infrastructure, including GKE, Cloud SQL, networking and IAM.
• Orchestrate micro‑services and container workloads with Kubernetes, Helm and Docker.
• Develop and support CI/CD pipelines using GitOps, Bitbucket Pipelines and IaC tools.
• Create internal automation tools and scripts with Deno and TypeScript.
• Monitor platform performance, define SLOs and lead incident management.
• Implement security best practices such as least‑privilege IAM, TLS hardening and container vulnerability scanning.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform services.
• Strong background in containerisation, Kubernetes and Helm.
• Proven ability to build and maintain CI/CD and IaC pipelines.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Experience with platform monitoring, incident handling and security compliance.
