A/V Engineer (All Genders)

About the role

Universal Music is looking for an A/V Engineer to join its Global Media Management & Technology team in Salzburg, Austria, effective immediately. The role supports global media and technical operations in the Salzburg office, covering quality control, archiving and encoding of audio, video and caption assets, and troubleshooting technical issues. It suits someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem solving and collaboration in a fast-paced, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage audio, video and caption/subtitle assets across quality control, archiving and encoding workflows
• Edit and quality check audio, video and caption material for productization and archive
• Review and create automated and manual quality control reports
• Coordinate asset handling and delivery with internal teams and record label partners
• Monitor workflows, troubleshoot problems and maintain accurate documentation and database entries
• Provide professional support to internal and external stakeholders

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in media services, music production or video post-production
• Relevant college degree or equivalent professional experience
• English is the team language, with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Passion for music, film and audiovisual content

Required skills

• Audio, video mixing, mastering, editing, encoding and troubleshooting
• Adobe Creative Cloud, DaVinci Resolve, Pro Tools and EZTitles
• Multichannel and immersive audio formats, especially Dolby Atmos and its software (DAR, DAAA, DACT)
• Mac hardware and software, and advanced troubleshooting of third-party applications
• Legacy video capture and archival knowledge
• Complex formulas, filtering logic and view management in Airtable and Excel
