About the role
This full‑time, on‑site position is for a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic working in a mining environment. You will maintain and repair heavy vehicles and equipment, ensuring they meet all safety and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicles and related equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues efficiently.
- Conduct inspections to verify compliance with safety protocols and mining regulations.
- Collaborate with workshop staff and the workshop manager to optimise operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
Required profile
- Proven expertise in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and experience with heavy equipment servicing.
- Understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance in workshop or mining settings.
- Relevant certification such as a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
