Automotive Electrician & Heavy Diesel Mechanic

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position is for a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic working in a mining environment. You will maintain and repair heavy vehicles and equipment, ensuring they meet all safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicles and related equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues efficiently.
• Conduct inspections to verify compliance with safety protocols and mining regulations.
• Collaborate with workshop staff and the workshop manager to optimise operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and experience with heavy equipment servicing.
• Understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance in workshop or mining settings.
• Relevant certification such as a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
