People & Culture Manager – Hospitality HR Lead

About the role

As the People & Culture Manager you will own the full employee lifecycle for our Vienna hotel, partnering with the General Manager and Operations Manager to attract, retain and develop top talent. You will ensure payroll is processed on time, foster a supportive culture and act as the primary HR point of contact for all staff.

Key responsibilities

• Lead recruitment activities, shape candidate experience and fill positions according to workforce plans.
• Prepare and monitor the annual personnel budget, headcount, payroll forecasts and report to Head Office.
• Manage employee files and coordinate with external payroll provider.
• Implement apprenticeship and trainee standards and support their development.
• Represent the employer brand at career fairs and schools.
• Oversee onboarding, ensuring new hires receive necessary information and a structured start.
• Identify talent, support development and advise department heads on HR and employment‑law matters.
• Design and drive employee retention initiatives to embed company culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in People & Culture management within the hotel or hospitality sector.
• Strong knowledge of Austrian employment law and ability to prepare related documentation.
• Precise, conscientious approach to HR administration.
• Discreet, empathetic and assertive when supporting department heads.
