Field Engineer – Data Center Support (Salzburg)

About the role

Evernex is seeking a Field Engineer to provide on‑site and remote technical support for data‑center customers in the Salzburg area. You will be the primary technical contact, ensuring hardware reliability and contributing to sustainable IT practices.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver field support to customers, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and IT system issues.
• Perform detailed technical analysis at 1st and 2nd level and document activities in Salesforce and the Field Service App.
• Execute preventive maintenance and assist with customer project implementations.
• Participate in on‑call duties and communicate effectively with customers' technical contacts.

Required profile

• Training as an IT systems electronics technician, IT technician or equivalent, or several years of relevant experience.
• Basic electrical engineering training.
• 2–3 years of professional experience in data‑center hardware support.
• Strong independent problem‑solving ability and customer‑oriented mindset.
• Fluent German and English, both written and spoken.
• Valid Class B driver’s licence.
